Welcome to our Spring Intramural Program
During our spring program, the players will enjoy weekly practice sessions with their team, followed by a game each Saturday morning. These practice sessions are lead by the professional soccer staff from our partners at Soccer Shots aided by your child's coach. This model ensures a great coach to player ratio as well as your child receiving a fun, age appropriate curriculum that not only teaches them about the skills needed to play, but motivates them to come back and play again next season!
The regular registration window is open now until 3/10/2022
* We can not guarentee a roster spot after this date and there will be an additional $25 late fee for anyone who registers after this window closes.
PRICE:$135* (including team shirt)
The program is open to all players ages 5-15 years old. (We also offer a Petite program for our littlest ones, aged 2-5. These players do not play a weekly game but do participate in a great introduction of the sport, with fun, game based classes with our partners at Soccer Shots). Teams will be formed in the following divisions according to age;
We attempt to make each team as competitive as possible and strive for parity in age and experience for each team across the various divisions.
DATES and SCHEDULE:
Practice scheudles will be confirmed after the regular registration window closes, but will be on Monday, Wednesday or Friday evenings, with the first session of each night begining at 5pm. Games will be played on Saturday mornings.
The first practices will start on 3/28/2022 and will run for 7 weeks.
Games will be played 4/2, 4/9, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14 and 5/21
REFUND AND COVID POLICY:
If you have to withdraw from the program, you may do so up to 10 days before your child's first practice session. A full refund minus a $25 admin fee will be given.
Although we have left an extra week at the end of May free for make up dates, we can not guarentee the number of games or practices due to weather issues or for the resulting unplayable field conditions. We will do all we can to provide seven games and seven practices but the season will end before Memorial Day weekend. No partial refunds will be issued for missed weeks.
We continue to follow the guidence provided by Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer. At this point, masks are not required but you are very welcome to have your child wear one. Social distancing is encouraged on the sideline for both players and parents. Click here for more information;
In the event we need to shut the program down due to Covid-19, partial or full refunds will be issued at the descretion of the Nether United Board of Directors.
Requests for coaches or team mates create several challenges, from the logistics to the efforts to balance the teams. However, we appreciate how important it is to make your child's early experiences in the sport positive so requests will be considered but can not be guarenteed. Please help us provide the best program we can by limiting requests as much as possible.
We are always looking for coaches and assistant coaches. The more support we get from our parents, the better the experience for the players. You do not need to have soccer experience to be a great coach within the program. Practices are lead by the staff from Soccer Shots but the coaches are the ones that determine the effectiveness of the sessions and the enjoyment of the children, by their organization and enthusiasm. The vast majority of our coaches volunteer year after year as the experience can be a very enjoyable, fulfilling one. Please indicate your willingness to coach when you register your child.
Please check the website for further information on each of the divisions. We will also hold a zoom meeting for parents and another for coaches before the start of the season.
